7 April – World Health Day

The Government of India, on the appeal of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, India, declared the 11th of April as the National Safe Motherhood Day.
18 April – World Heritage Day
ICOMOS celebrates the International Day for Monuments and Sites, whose establishment was approved by the 22nd UNESCO General Conference in 1983. In 2017, the theme is “Cultural Heritage & Sustainable Tourism”.
22 April – World Earth Day
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
24 April – National Panchayati Day
The Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act, 1992 that came into force with effect from 24th April 1993 has institutionalised Panchayati Raj through the village, Intermediate and District level Panchayats.
25 April – World Malaria Day
This year’s global theme for World Malaria Day is “End Malaria for Good”. World Malaria Day was established by WHO Members and since 2008, the global community comes together to commemorate World Malaria Day on April 25.
