  • Surrogacy Bill 2019 referred to Rajya Sabha select committee for review.

  • Intensified mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0 was launched by Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and will be rolled out in 27 states. The program aims to escalate efforts to achieve the goal of attaining 90% national immunization coverage across India.
  • As a step towards adding more attractions and interesting experiences to cruise tourists visiting Cochin Port, a helicopter service has been introduced from Willingdon Island here by a private company in association with Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council.

  • Free Wi-fi facility has been provided at 574 railway stations in South central Railway. Free Wi-Fi services to rail users are being provided under the brand ‘Rail Wire’, the retail broadband initiative of Rail Tel. The 1st Railwire service in South Central Railway was started at Secunderabad railway station in 2015.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pitched for evidence backed policymaking from year 2022. He urged CAG officials to assist the center in framing more effective policies with insights from analyzing bigdata. Government is working on integrating and analyzing big amounts of data.
  • Government plans to use data from FAStag to monitor traffic, rework road toll policy.

  • India’s 1st Day Night test match will start in Kolkata today. The Match will be played between India and Bangaldesh. The first International Day Night test match was played between Australia and New Zealand at Adelaide Oval on 27th November 2015.
