Devendra Fadnavis has resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackrey to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of state. He will be the first member from Thackrey family to be sworn in as Chief Minister. Manohar Joshi was the 1st chief minister from Shiv Sena.

Devendra Fadnavis becomes the Maharashtra Chief Minister to hold the post for the shortest time i.e. 4 days.
BJP’s Kalidas Kolambkar takes oath as Protem Speaker. Newly elected Members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha elect the Speaker among themselves.
