  • 25 Questions Related To Banking and Marketing

What Could be there in Computer awareness:

The engineers make the most of it. Usually this section is restricted to questions related to day to day computers used in banking operations. This is the most generalized section of the paper which may ask you simple questions over:

  • Shortcuts
  • Hardware’s
  • Protocols

To prepare yourself well in case you are not familiar with computers you can search out internet with content related to computer based banking questions

Analysis of IBPS PO 2013 paper

Analysis of IBPS PO 2013 paper With notification for IBPS PO 2014 is here, we need to know the the analysis of IBPS PO 2013 paper. This will help us in planning the coming paper in an effective manner. This is important to know that IBPS PO 2013 was the most difficult paper IBPS had ever organized with cutoff’s for written exams touching lows of 61/200 (GEN) Subscribe to receive regular updates [wysija_form id=”1″] Quant: This was the toughest section in IBPS PO 2013. The questions were related to Data Interpretation and Speed Maths, probability, profit and loss.

  • The questions were difficult to solve and were very time consuming.
  • In the Data Interpretation section the answers were not matching the answer options most of the time.
  • The approximation questions had options very near to each other which made it difficult to mark the correct answer.
  • Profit, percentage and loss questions were filled with huge calculations.

Other sections being equally difficult, people were not able to manage time, and thus made many negatives in quant last year. Out of 50 questions only 10-12 questions could be regarded as simple.

Some Important Links:

Reasoning: The reasoning was tough too. The questions were solvable but were very time consuming.

  • The quiz (puzzles) questions were from multi-hierarchy and required time to solve them.
  • The Input/output were tough as the pattern was not visible easily.
  • The statement, assumptions, and inference questions were moderate but some questions had very near assumptions, so it was difficult to choose the correct one.
  • The syllogism question (all a are b) were of moderate level.

Over all out of 50 questions only 15-18 questions could be regarded as simple and people who were able to find out those 15-18 questions made their paper look simple.

English: English was of moderate level. People could have scored some marks in this section.

  • The comprehensions were pretty difficult. It was taking a lot of time to search for answers; the answers were indirectly related to the questions.
  • The “arrange the statements in right order” were also difficult.

This section was of 40 marks and around 14-16 questions could be regarded as simple.

General Awareness: This section was divided into 3 parts. One was general knowledge of past 9 months, other was questions from RBI committees (6-7 in number) and the other was marketing questions (15 in numbers). The level of attempt of one person in General awareness depends from person to person. We cannot predict on the level of General Awareness. The total questions asked in this section were 40.

Computer Awareness: People from engineering and computer background must have loved this section. This was the easiest section in the paper. 15 questions out of 20 were day to day functions in computer. Many people scored over 90% in this section, giving a boost to their overall marks.

What was the trick to Clear IBPS PO 3?

IBPS-LogoBanking exams are not a joke. Solving 200 questions in 120 minutes is a nail biting task, with ideally no person able to solve all questions when the level of paper was very tough. After interviewing many candidates who cleared IBPS PO 3 (I was one) we found a similarity. Those guys had managed their time very efficiently. They didn’t try to stick to any section.

Some Important Links:

  • They solved the sections of General awareness, Computers first to give themselves a physiological benefit which was they have just 3 more sections to go with almost 1hr 35 minutes remaining.
  • Next they wanted to finish off English. The reason was English takes time little more than solving General Awareness. They found themselves in a situation where they had just 2 more sections to go with almost 1hr 10 minutes in hand.
  • They had enough time to solve 50% questions in those sections. When you know the paper is difficult, keep one thing in mind. If it’s difficult for you, it will be also difficult for the person sitting next to you. So don’t ever try to over attempt. I have seen people who could have cleared the cutoffs very easily with 100 attempts (85% accuracy), but messed up trying to attempt more. (Keep in mind negative counter is also on).
