We are here with the expected Banking vacancies this year. Usually majority of banking vacancies are declared in the duration of June-October every year. Banking Recruitment in India is done by IBPS which conducts these exam through 3 exams.
IBPS Probationary Officer: This exam is held for the Recruitment of Probationary officers in Nationalized Banks. Vacancies for this exam has been depleting every year with highest number of vacancies were seen back in 2013, which at that time were around 22000. Last year around 8000 allotments were done in different banks. This year it is also expected that vacancies will be less, lower than that were seen last time. Major reason for this is RBI Prompt Corrective Action which has been initiated on 4 banks and it is expected that around 7 more banks will be coming under it in coming months.

IBPS RRB: This exam is held for the Recruitment of Probationary officers, Officer Scale 2, Officer Scale 3, Clerks in Regional Rural Banks. Regional Rural Banks are subsidiaries of Nationalized Banks which are meant to address needs of Rural India. Vacancies for this exam has been consistent every year with vacancies marginally increasing over the years. IBPS has recently declared the Allotment for the different posts of Regional Rural bank.
DUTIES OF A PROBATIONARY OFFICER IN BANKS
SBI Clerk: This exam is held for the Recruitment of Clerks in State Bank of India. Since Merger of SBI Associates with SBI, HR demand from SBI has taken a hit. SBI is currently facing from excess staff problems which is expected to affect hiring for the next couple of years. Still We expect SBI to announce recruitment of around 2700 clerks this year.
