Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
Government of India in order to uplift the living standards of small and marginal farmers and help them in procurement of seeds, and livelihood started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This scheme covered almost 15 crore people across the country.
Who all are covered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
- All farmers are covered under the scheme. Earlier only marginal farmers (farmers whole land was less than 2 hectares) were covered. But on 31st May 2019 in the 1st cabinet meeting conferred by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi it was decided to cover all the farmers under the scheme.
What would farmers get under PMKSNY
- Farmers would get 3 yearly installments of Rs.2000 each. This would mean that each farmer would get Rs. 6000/- per year. The estimated total burden of the enchequer yearly will be Rs. 87000 crores.
