Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was launched in the months of April 2015 to bring all saving bank account holders under the social security schemes of insurance covers to support families of individuals after death.
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana applicant was insured with Life Insurance corporation of India.
To become a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana you need to be of above 18 years of age and upto 50. Though if you become a beneficiary of the scheme at age of 50 years you continue it till 55 years.
