SSC CGL 2016: Note these Important Points Before applying
As you all know SSC has released notification for recruitment of various posts under Central government by conducting a Common Graduate Level (CGL) Examination for the year 2016.
But Do you know the important points Or Did you miss them?
SSC CGL Exam is a selection test conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruitment in Central government jobs that comes under Group B & Group C.
As the recruitment advertisement will be more than 50+ pages, it could be hard for candidates to miss out the important points
So, we are here with compilation of some new changes have been announced this time.
Note these important points before moving to apply online.
- Registration for Online application starts from 13th February 2016 & ends on 10th March 2016 – Apply in advance to avoid last minute rush.
- SSC CGL Tier – I exam will be conducted on 8 May & 22 May 2016 and Tier – II will be expected to held in August 2016
- There will be NO ONLINE exam. Candidates have to answer in OMR sheets provided to them as The proposal for conducted an online exam will be pending with the government
- All Women Candidates & those belonging to SC/ ST/Physically Handicapped & Ex-Serviceman (Male & Female both) are completely exempted from paying application fees
- Aspirants Age, Educational qualifications are to be considered as on 1st August,2016
- From this year onwards there will be NO INTERVIEWS for SSC CGL posts as per the orders of honourable PM Modi. Instead of that there will COMPUTER PROFICIENCY TEST or SKILL TEST for qualifiers of Tier – II
- At the time of registration, Applicants itself have to declare their order of post preference & It cannot be changed in future.
- Assistant Section Officer post has been created under Central Secretariat Services (CSS) with grade pay of 4600
- Assistant Audit Officer post is another new position to be filled through SSC CGL 2016.It comes under Indian Audit & Accounts Department under CAG. The maximum age to apply for this post is 30 years
- Earlier there were only 3 attempts for SSC CGL CSS post but now there will be No restrictions on number of attempts for CSS post as well as upper age limit will be increased from 27 years to 30 years. View Official notification here:
- The number of vacancies in each category shall be published one month before the final results of SSC CGL exams.
