Some Basic HR interview Tips
Hello everyone ! I am a fresher and have been through lots of interviews.I have few observations which I would like to share with all freshers.Here are few tips to avoid common mistakes which people usually make,and end up getting rejected.
1.You should know each and every word of your resume by heart. Never put in your resume qualities or skills that you do not possess or do not know the meaning of.
2.You should be able to prove all the qualities and skills mentioned in your resume.For eg. if you say you are self motivated during introduction or it is mentioned in resume,you should be able to give a suitable example from your life experiences to prove it.
3. If you mention a hobby ,make sure you have knowledge about it,for eg. if you say ” I like chess”,then you should know all the details about chess.If you say” I like reading novels”,hr will surely ask about novel you are reading at current time or your favorite novel.
4.While giving introduction,never blubber about your family details until and unless asked to do so.Also there is no need of telling your marks details.
5.Try to maintain eye contact with interviewer.Always keep your postures right.Keep a smile on your face.Show enthusiasm even if you are tired.
6.Always be prepared for questions like “Why you want to join our company?”,”Why should we hire you?”,”What makes you stand out in crowd?”.
7.Sometime interviewer might ask you to convince him/her to hire you.He/she may really give you a hard time.But don’t give up.
8. You should always have an idea about the company for which you are appearing.You should know about its services,revenue and all.
