SBI Youth for India Programme

A very good opportunity has knocked your door as State Bank of India offers a Youth for India Programme.The programme has been uniquely designed to assist you to transition into a rural environment, assess the ground realities and identify a project which combines your interests, the strengths of the partner NGO and the needs of the community.
SBI Youth for India is a 13 month long programme that enables India’s brightest young minds to work on rural development projects with experienced NGOs.
Supported by State Bank of India, the fellowship offers the best platform in the country to follow your heart and help solve rural India’s most pressing challenges.
Important Dates:
- 10th June 2016 is the Last Date of Submission
- Shortlisted candidates are notified on an ongoing basis during the application period. We continuously engage with shortlisted applicants over an online forum to get to know them better as well as clarify their doubts regarding the Fellowship – 13th June 2016 – Shortlisted candidates intimated
- Interviews shall be conducted in major metro cities or virtually for applicants based outside India – 1st July 2016 – Selected Candidates intimated
Eligibility:
- Young Professionals or Fresh Graduates
- Age 21-32 (as on date of commencement of programme)
- Indian citizen
Programme Details:
- 13 months Full time programme
- 2 cohorts commencing in August and October 2016
- Requires you to stay in rural areas near the project site
After completion of the Programme :
- You can continue in the rural development sector with NGOs or explore social entrepreneurship opportunities
- You can pursue further studies or other fellowships
- You can return to the mainstream and apply your learning to develop products and services more suited to Rural India.
