SBI Specialist Officer Exam Analysis

State Bank of India has conducted Specialist Officer Exam analysis (IT Officer) Examination, and here we bring you the analysis for today’s examination.
There were Four Sections namely:
- Test of Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Language
- Professional Knowledge.
Quant and Reasoning sections had 35 questions in both the sections for 35 marks whereas reasoning had 50 questions for 50 marks. These 3 sections were the part-1 of examination, whereas the other part, part-2 was The Professional Knowledge Test which had 50 questions for 100 marks. Time allotted for the tree sections of part-1 cumulatively was 90 mins and 45 mins were for 50 questions of professional knowledge. Professional Knowledge section is the one on basis of which merit list will be formed and it was moderate in level and type of questions.
Quantitative Aptitude section was of Moderate level. Good attempts for quant can range from 21-26 with good accuracy. There were no surprises and it was a well-balanced paper. A candidate with good practice can easily score well. Questions were of 10Q-Data Interpretation (2 set- Line and Tabular Moderate Level), 5Q-Quadratic Equation (easy-moderate), 5Q-Series, 5Q-Approximation (Moderate) and 10Q- Arithmetic Problems (Moderate Level).
Test of Reasoning was also Moderate. Questions asked were of Blood Relation, Direction, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Inequality, Input-Output, Puzzles and Seating Arrangement (15Q- 3set) and Data Sufficiency. Good attempt for reasoning section will range from 30-35.
Professional Knowledge section of this examination was of Moderate level. Each question carried 2 marks as there were 50 questions for 100 marks and the topics from which questions were asked were, DBMS (questions related to DBMS and Data Mining were greater in number in comparison to other topics), Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Operating System, Data Structure, Computer Languages. Some questions were also direct and definition based. Good Attempts for this sections will be 28-33 with good accuracy.
