Role & Responsibility of Specialist Officer in Banks

In various banks there are some tasks/activities which should be performed by the people who have good command on that specific area.

With the advancement in technology coupled with new Banking products and services, there is a need of specialized man power in the banking system, who can handle them in a better way. Thus increase the business of bank efficiently.

Role of  Information Technology Officer

  1. With cyber-crime witnessing a rise, IT officers are responsible for looking after tit officer jobhe Bank Network Security and Anti-Virus update. In cases of fraud or any incidence of a breach in the Bank’s internal security, IT officers are called for important inquiries.
  2. An IT Officer provides end-to-end support for Bank’s core banking system.
  3. She/he is responsible for management of various sub-systems like ATM, Kiosks, Mobile Banking and internet Banking, Networking etc.
  4. She/he develops new software or modifying the Bank’s existing software.
  5. Overall IT Officer looks after the technological perspectives of Banking Operations.

Role of Agricultural Field Officer

  1. To follow up in case of recovery of loans.
  2. To ensure the proper recovery of loan and getting the acknowledgement of debt (AOD)
  3. AFO promote banks’ loan products in rural areas, particularly among farmers.
  4. AFO meets and maintain good relationship with farmers and thereby generate Leads
  5. To conduct pre-loan sanction inspection.

Role of Law Officer

  1. They check the sanctions imposed by the bank and make sure all the relevant documents are executed.
  2. They deal with documentation work within a bank.
  3. In case of any litigation, banks are represented by practicing lawyers which are guided by law officers of the bank.

Role of HR/ Personal Officer

  1. As an HR Officer, one handles the training and induction of new employees; circulate Human-Resourcesappraisal forms, form leave schedules, creation of salary accounts etc.
  2. After few years of experience, he/she conducts recruitment interviews, address labor laws, employee promotions and other critical human resource related activities.
  3. To manage industrial relations, performance and promotion Policy.

Role of Marketing Officer

  1. Marketing Officer co-ordinates with advertisement agencies in order to draft various forms of communication.
  2.  Marketing team is responsible for conceptualizing and design of advertisements, taking the banks message to masses.

  3. Marketing Officer is also required to search for new services and Products of the Banks.

Role of Rajbhasha Adhikari

In charge of translation of official documents from any other language to hindi or Rajbhasha.
