There is no such specific distribution of questions and the difference will be created by the GA/GS section. This simply means that Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude will not be tough and everyone will be able to attempt these. Now coming to the GA/GS part, we can say that most of the questions will be from static portion and very few will be covered from Current. And we are expecting many questions from general science as well. For this, at least go through the basic laws and definition of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Last-Minute-Tips

Follow your plan that you prepared for yourself:

We mostly observe that candidates prepare themselves very well with a plan but in examination hall they completely forget to follow their own strategy. Before entering in examination hall every candidate should go with a plan. You are the only one who can judge yourself honestly. You all know your strengths and weaknesses inside you. According to your strengths you should start your exam . Our strengths always give us power to overcome hurdles. Following this you will get relief in the first half of the exam.

Keep in mind the Marks Allocated to each section:

Question paper for RRB NTPC Exam will essentially consist of 3 sections – Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General awareness consisting overall 100 questions. So, candidates should plan the strategy keeping in mind the value of each section.

Time Management and Ego Management is essential:

Managing your time during you exam can be your success mantra. Remember friends, these exams are not just a test of your knowledge, but also a test of your smart work, time management and accuracy. So do not get attached to any questions during the 90 minutes exam. If you feel that a particular question is taking more time than required, better leave it and move to the next question. The art of leaving a time consuming and difficult question (no matter how well versed you are with the concept and topic) is what is going to get you to a better and easier question. Remember you are not meant to do all the questions given in the exam, rather supposed to do maximum number of questions in the shortest time possible and that too accurately.

Start with easier section:

Suppose, you are more comfortable in a particular section, attempt it first. It will give you the confidence and set the pace for the exam. Attempt most difficult part in the end.

Be careful about negative marking:

In RRB NTPC exam, there will be negative marks for wrong answers (equivalent to 1/3 of the marks allotted to that questions). There is no negative marking for unattempted questions. So, if you are not sure about a question, it is better to leave that question rather than attempting it wrong.

Do not get stuck on a question:

Never get touchy about any question and hence do not waste time if you are not able to crack it within 1-2 mins. We have seen, many candidates get stuck with questions like seating arrangement/puzzles in reasoning part and waste precious time on these. Never do that. If you feel that you might get stuck, leave it for second round.

Never give up during exam:

Competitions like this are the tests of your nerves. You should go with a positive frame of mind to the exam hall and maintain the same throughout the exam. Many times, when candidates get stuck or find a particular section difficult, they give up. Never ever give up. Paper is not going to be easy for anyone and winner will be one who will hold the nerves till the end.

Take Proper Sleep Before Exam:

Candidates should take a proper sleep before the exam day and should have light breakfast before the exam.
