Indian Bank PGDBF Exam Pattern

Dear Friends,

Indian Bank has recently released a notification for Indian Bank PO recruitment through 1-year post graduation diploma in banking & finance (PGDBF) course for 417 seats.

Indian Bank exam for PO will take place in 3 stages – Prelims, Mains and Interview.

Prelims

The Preliminary Online Examination (objective type) consists of 100 questions & you have to complete it in 1 hour.

Mains

The Main Online Examination (objective type) will consist of total 200 questions & you have to complete it in 2 hours.

Note that:

  • Bilingual: Both Mains and Prelims will be Bilingual for all sections except English.
  • Cut Offs: In both Prelims and Mains. Only if you qualify Prelims cut off, you will be shortlisted for Mains.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 for wrong answers.

Descriptive Type Test

The descriptive test will take place on the day of Mains examination. As the mains paper gets over the screen of computer will automatically direct you to the descriptive test. The descriptive paper will start without any break or time gap. The descriptive paper will be evaluated for those candidates who will qualify in the Mains objective test.

Interview

  • Students who clear the cut off score of the Main examination will be called for an Interview. The Interview is for 100 marks.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  • The weightage of the examination (Preliminary & Main) and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
  • Your combined final score shall be arrived on the basis of scores obtained by you in the Prelims, Mains and Interview.
