IBPS SO Prelims Exam Review – 30th December 2017

Hello Friends,

This year, for the 1st time IBPS has conducted the Prelims exams for Specialist Officers exam. As per the information that we gained from the students, the exam pattern was same as yesterday’s exam.
According to us, the ideal attempt for this exam would be 60-62.
The overall exam was Moderate – Difficult.
This exam was basically cover three topics: English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
Total 150 questions(50 in each section) were given to be solved in 2 hours.
Sections Ideal Attempts
English 27-30
Reasoning 31-35
Quantitative Aptitude 32-35
Total Attemps 90-100

English (Moderate)

This section was not very difficult as there was no change in pattern of question except for cloze test. Reading Comprehension was moderate and fillers were easy.

5 puzzles and Seating Arrangement based on Circular (2 Variables), Stack Arrangement (1 Variable), Floor Based (2 Variables), Month Based (2 Variables), Linear were asked. Thus this section consumed more time

Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate-Difficult)

Three different types of DI (Tabular, Pie ChartLine Graph) and one Caselet DI was asked but the questions asked bit difficult to understand or solve. Miscellaneous questions were of moderate level
