Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the statutory body functioning under the administrative control of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) has released notification for the recruitment of candidates at various positions. - Online Registration closed: 01-02-2016
- Issue of Call Letters for on-line exam: 15-02-2016
- On-line Examination: 21-02-2016
- Result of Online Examination: 31-03-2016
Posts, Vacancies & Pay Band:
- Junior Stenographer: 23 vacancies – PB-1/ Rs 5200 – 20,200
- Stenographer: 11 vacancies -PB-2/Rs 9300 – 34800
- Upper Div. Clerk: 25 vacancies – PB-1/ Rs 5200 – 20,200
- Senior Technician:17 vacancies -PB-1/ Rs 5200 – 20,200
- Technical Assistant (Lab): 42 vacancies- PB-2/Rs 9300 – 34800
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- 18 to 27 Years for the posts of Junior Stenographer; Upper Division Clerk; Senior Technician; and Technical Assistant (Lab)
- 18-30 years for the post of Stenographer as on closing date of recruitment. However, 5 Years for SC/ST, 3 Years for OBC, For other candidates as per Govt. Rules.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should be 10th /12th /Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent as each post has its own qualifications. For more information regarding individual educational qualifications please refer to the advertisement.
Scheme of Examination:
All India Online Examination will comprise of Written Examination followed by skill test/trade test/Interview.

All the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria should submit their applications through online mode only & have to pay a non-refundable fees i.e. Rs.500/- for all the candidates except SC/ST/Women/ExSM via online payment only
