Every candidate who apply for the prestigious examination is asked to fill the bank Preferences in IBPS. This bank preference holds a lot of significance because if you clear the IBPS exam, your allotment of bank will be based on your bank preference.
How IBPS Allot Bank?
Every particular bank has their own cutoff in IBPS PO exam. This cutoff can be understood as the minimum marks required to get a particular bank. Suppose you have attained a consolidated score of 60 marks out of 100 in all the phases of exam held in IBPS.
Salary you attain as a Probationary Officer in A PSU bank Except SBI
Your preference was like
- PNB – Cutoff was 62
- Canara – Cutoff was 58
- Bank of India – Cutoff was 53
IBPS will allot you Canara Bank because your marks is higher than their cutoff and it is your higher preference than Bank of India
