With application of IBPS PO 2014 has just began, the most asked query these days is how to fill bank preference and how to get the best match.
This Post gives you an advised preference order for southern India candidates.

How Banks Are Allotted??

IBPS allot you banks according to your score and the bank with a higher priority lying in your choice bracket. For E.g. You placed your 1st choice as Punjab National Bank and 2nd choice as Bank Of Baroda and the cutoff required for PNB is 46. Your score is 44. The cutoff required for BOB is 43.2. IBPS will allot you BOB as your marks fits the cutoff and priority says IBPS to do so. But in case you fill a IOB (Indian Overseas Bank) above BOB and Cutoff required for IOB is 43. IBPS will then allot you IOB as your bank preference says that IOB is your choice No 2.

This whole Assessment is based on our observations and years of knowledge in banking. We will not be responsible for any claims of wrong advice or decision or any untoward incident. At the same time we also want to make it very clear that we don’t have any problem with any bank or organisation. We are just advising the candidates Bank preference on the basis of area. This material is subject to advice not force. So take your own decision after reading the document. We also don’t want to distinguish people in different parts of India. We have just tried to simplify the classification on their choice of place of working.
