How Banks Are Allotted??

IBPS allot you banks according to your score and the bank with a higher priority lying in your choice bracket. For E.g. You placed your 1st choice as Punjab National Bank and 2nd choice as Bank Of Baroda and the cutoff required for PNB is 46. Your score is 44. The cutoff required for BOB is 43.2. IBPS will allot you BOB as your marks fits the cutoff and priority says IBPS to do so. But in case you fill a IOB (Indian Overseas Bank) above BOB and Cutoff required for IOB is 43. IBPS will then allot you IOB as your bank preference says that IOB is your choice No 2.

Application Form Filling Tips For People from Northern/western/central/eastern region

For People Filling Forms From All areas except southern Region Of India and want their posting to be widely based in Northern/Western/Central India we advice this preference pattern.

ECGC: Export Credit Guarantee Corporation: Located in Cities only. But the vacancies in this bank are very less. You need to work very hard to get it.
Punjab National Bank: Work Pressure here is more, but you can get a chance to be in northern India for a long time.
Bank Of Baroda: This bank has a huge network in PAN India but concentration is more in Northern India. Work pressure is there but perks are also good.
Bank of India: Has many branches across Northern/Eastern/Central/Western India. You might get a chance to get your home town too.
Oriental Bank Of Commerce: This bank is mainly concentrated in Northern/Central/Western India. You might just get a chance to get posting in the nearest branch here.
Allahabad Bank: This bank is heavily concentrated in state of Uttar Pradesh but at the same time also have a good presence in other Northern/central/western India cities.
UCO bank: This bank also have many branches in Northern/Eastern/Central/Western India.
Punjab and Sind Bank: This bank is mainly concentrated to Punjab,Haryana and Delhi. It is expected that this bank might merge with Punjab National bank in a few years.
Bank Of Maharashtra: This bank is mainly concentrated in western india particularly In states Of Maharashtra, Gujarat.
Canara Bank: A bank with a reasonably good network in Northern/Central/Western India.
Indian Overseas Bank: This bank is expanding very fast in Northern/Eastern/Central/Western India.
Central Bank Of India: This bank also has a wide network in Northern India.
