Banking exams are not a joke. Solving 200 questions in 120 minutes is a nail biting task, with ideally no person able to solve all questions when the level of paper was very tough. After interviewing many candidates who cleared IBPS PO 3 (I was one) we found a similarity. Those guys had managed their time very efficiently. They didn’t try to stick to any section.
They solved the sections of General awareness, Computers first to give themselves a physiological benefit which was they have just 3 more sections to go with almost 1hr 35 minutes remaining.
Next they wanted to finish off English. The reason was English takes time little more than solving General Awareness. They found themselves in a situation where they had just 2 more sections to go with almost 1hr 10 minutes in hand.
They had enough time to solve 50% questions in those sections. When you know the paper is difficult, keep one thing in mind. If it’s difficult for you, it will be also difficult for the person sitting next to you. So don’t ever try to over attempt. I have seen people who could have cleared the cutoffs very easily with 100 attempts (85% accuracy), but messed up trying to attempt more. (Keep in mind negative counter is also on).
