Syllogism Practice Set-12

Hello Readers,

Syllogism Questions are very important in every competitive examination. This set is based on questions on a given set of information, which are to be solved on basis of 7 rules. We will be updating you with all type of syllogism Questions on a daily basis.

Directions (1-5): In each question below there are three statements followed by two conclusions numbered I and II. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three given statements disregarding commonly known facts. Then decide which of the answers
(A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) is the correct answer and indicate it on the answer sheet.

Give answer (A) if only conclusion I is follows.
Give answer (B) if only conclusion II is follows
Give answer (C) if either conclusion I or II follows.
Give answer (D) if neither I nor II is follows.
Give answer (E) if both I and II follow.

Syllogism Practice Set

1. Statements:
All medicines are tablets
Some tablets are tonics
Some tonics are bitter
Conclusion
I. Some tablets are bitter
II. No medicine is a tonic

2. Statements:
All income are salaries
Some salaries are perks
Some perks are tangible
Conclusion
I. Some incomes are tangible
II. At least some perks are salaries

3. Statements:
All roses are red
Some red are color
All colors are paints
Conclusion
I. Some red are paints
II. All red are roses

4. Statement
some casual are formal
All formal are expensive
All expensive are elegant
Conclusion
I. All formal of elegant
II. Some casual are expensive

5. Statement
All towns are cities
All cities are urban
Some urban are rural
Conclusion
I. Some towns are rural
II. All rural are towns
