Sentence Improvement Questions are important part of english sentence formation. Using the right words, tenses, pronouns, conjunctions, modal is important for phrasing a sentence right. We here will be coming up with our daily sets of sentence improvement which will be helpful to you to frame sentences properly

Directions (Q. 1-5): In this question, a sentence with four words in bold type is given. One of these four words given in bold may be either wrongly spelt or inappropriate in the context of the sentence. Find out the word which is wrongly spelt or inappropriate, if any. That word is your answer. If all the words given in bold are correctly spelt and also appropriate in the context of the sentence, mark ‘All correct’ as your answer.

Solutions
S1. Ans.(d)
Sol. If you ‘hold out’ hope of something happening, you hope that in the future something will happen as you want it to. Hence the given question is correct.

S2. Ans.(b)
Sol. Substitute ‘would’ for ‘will’ because ‘refused’ is in the past tense.

S3. Ans.(a)
Sol. Delete ‘for’, ‘Despite’ is followed by an object.
