SBI Clerk 2016 – Introduction of New Exam Pattern




 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Sehpaathians,

As State Bank of India released a notification for filling up the vacancies for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and Junior Agricultural Associates in the Clerical Cadre.

How many vacancies are there?

According to the notification released by SBI total  number of vacancies will be as follows :

Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) – 10,726.

Junior Agricultural Associates – 3008

EXAM PATTERN OF SBI CLERK 2016

Phase – I: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test)

There will be total 100 questions of 100 marks attempted within 60 minutes duration of time.

Please note that There is sectional cutoff for Preliminary exam.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank.Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.



Phase – II: Main Examination (Online Objective Test)

Process of promotion of Clerk to Officer in PSU Banks

 

Changes in Exam Pattern :




  • Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
    In that allotted time you have to complete that particular section. Also, you cannot randomly change in between the sections unless the time is over
  • Total time Increased to 2 hours and 40 minutes from 2 hours that was in IBPS clerk.
  • The cutoff is applied at two stages i.e. Sectional & Overall Cutoff and will be calculated state-wise, i.e. different cutoff for different states.
  • Computer Section is not separate section now and Computer questions will come with Reasoning Ability questions.
  • Weightage of Marks changed in each sections and Total Questions will be 190 now.

 

Phase – III: Interview (subject to approval of Govt. of India )

Candidates who qualified in the Main Examination will be arranged in the descending order for each category to prepare a merit list. And those candidates who are well above a prescribed cutoff in the merit will be called for interview.
Besides Interview there will be a Local/Official Language test, Those who produce 10th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied official (local) language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others, language test will be conducted at the time of interview (if interview is held) /before final selection (if interview is not held).

Final Selection
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview (Phase-III) (if interview is held) for preparation of the final merit list. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (main examination) and interview (if interview is held) taken together.
