With the exam For LIC AAO was held again today, in its seccond week we are here for a complete analysis of how the paper was, what was the level, what were the major questions asked in the paper, and how can the candidates improve their score
Our Complete Analysis:
The level of LIC AAO 2016 was tougher than Last Week. But the vacancies being less and paper being moderate the cutoff is expected to go higher than 215 marks. LIC Is expected to shortlist candidates for interviews in the ratio of 1:5. We have interviewed many candidates and average of them have attempted over 78 questions. (Excluding english).
There were though many candidates who claimed to have attempted 150 questions/160 questions.
Composition of the exam Total Time Allowed: 120 minutes

: Quant section was moderate. Questions were mostly on the pattern of banking exams. Questions were there from Speed maths, approximation, missing number ratio and proportion, profit loss and percentage and Data Interpretation. A few questions were a bit lengthy. An average attempt in the section was 15. As each question in this section carried 3 marks. Many Candidates solved a complete 30 in this section.
: Reasoning section was easy. Out of the 30 questions all questions were easy except 2 or 3.
Questions were asked from Syllogism, Coding Decoding, Inequality, logical reasoning, Other reasoning questions, like direction based, word puzzle, a very simple arrangement based question etc. Average Attempt in this section was 18. Some Candidates solved a complete 30 in this section.
:: Questions were related to day to day computers, computer architecture, dbms, viruses, network security. This was one of the most scoring sections in the examination. Aspirants were able to attempt over 21 questions in this sections.
This Section covered current GK of past 3-4 months (mostly from Jan onwards), Insurance related questions, Questions on insurance companies, Calender events of 3 months etc. This section would have been very simple if aspirants have gone through current affairs. Questions were their from Wildlife Sanctuaries and important Days which were covered in our LIC Capsule The average attempt in this section was of 11 marks. This is the game changer section as more you score here better will be your chances to clear lic AAO
: English section was simple. Questions were primarily asked from English Comprehensions, 10 cloze test sets, 10 find the grammatical error, Rearrange the sentences, Vocabulary. On an average aspirants attempted 20/40 questions in the section. Marks of this section will not be added in the exam. You just need to clear the cutoff here
