IDBI PO PGDBF Exam Analysis

Hello Friends,

As IDBI PO Exam is over and Now it’s time for exam analysis. A lot of students have appeared for IDBI PO recruitment today and this brings them to a step closer in their journey of getting a Job in Banking Sector.
There are 4 Sections in IDBI PO PGDBF exam namely English, Reasoning, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. Overall the examination was of moderate-difficult level.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE (Difficult)

The level of this section was quite difficult and quant was also very calculative. There were graph DI, Pie Chart, one Missing DI and one caselet. Even the questions from approximation were calculative.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (Moderate)

This section was overall moderate in comparison with other sections of this examination. There were two Reading Comprehension, a total of 20 questions from RC and it also had questions of vocabulary in it. In this examination, Cloze Test was of a new pattern where after each blank there was a word given in bold and the candidate has to choose if that word is appropriate for the blank (option e) and if not then which word given in the remaining 4 options is appropriate.

The vocabulary questions (antonym/synonym) were also changed as they gave a group of words and among them few were correct (which means more than one word were the correct antonyms/synonyms) and candidates had to choose the correct set (of words) in options. 

REASONING ABILITY (MODERATE-DIFFICULT)

Reasoning section was of moderate to difficult level. There were 10 questions of syllogism out of which few were of the conventional pattern and few questions were of the reverse syllogism in which they provide the conclusions in the question and statements are given in options.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate)

G.A section was of moderate level and most of the questions were from banking and current affairs portion of January. There were many questions related to Pradhan Mantri Schemes and also there were 2-3 questions of static awareness.
