How to fill in Preferences in IBPS RRB 2017

Dear Sehpaathians

With forms for IBPS RRB VI are out, we are here with the ways and preferences in which you must fill the application form for IBPS RRB 2017.

Before knowing the process first lets understand that what are the changes IBPS has made in form filling.

  • From this year students will be able to apply only from one state where you are adaptable to the language and have it as a subject in your class 8th or 10th Marksheet. That means that you will be able to select the banks only from state you are from or the state where you want to live for the rest of your life. (From where you have given your address)
That means an aspirant who wants to apply from Rajasthan then can only apply in
    1) Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank
    2) Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank
  • You will be directly contesting for banks within your selected state and not across India.
  • While filling preference in your selected state you must keep in mind the Sponsor Bank, Region in which bank is operating and your personal choice.

Test Center will also be present in the state you have selected. i.e. If you have filled form from state of Gujarat then the city of giving the exam will be either Ahmedabad or Vadodara or Surat and not Jaipur.

These changes have been made for the posts of Officer Assistant (All purposes ) and Officer Scale 1 posts.

Can we apply from Multiple states

No, you cannot apply from Multiple states. In past few years there has been high attrition rate at RRB’s. Reason for the same is: Regional rural banks have their presence only within a state and you cannot change from one bank to another in RRB’s.
