With IBPS RRB PO 2015 now over, the countdown for results will begunn. Analyzing the paper pattern and examining the details of questions attempted by the candidates we try to make a rough guess about expected cutoff’s for IBPS RRB PO 2015.

The papers pattern and the exam standard were different this year which could account to bringing down the cutoff with respect to previous year’s figure. The good news this year IBPS will conduct a single interview of all candidates. Till last year respective banks used to conduct their individual Interview. With this the cutoff will be set to climb down.

Quant and Data Interpretation:

The Quant and Data interpretation were the toughest sections in this paper, with candidates attempting 16-23 questions on an average. This section was filled with lengthy questions and long calculations. The expected individual cutoff in this section could be in the range 13-16.

Reasoning:

Reasoning was easier compared to last year, The average number of questions attempted by candidates in this section were 18-21. We expect the individual cutoff in this section to land somewhere between 17-20.

English:

English was easier compared to last year (says the candidates who appeared last year as well for RRB PO). The average number of questions attempted in this section were 13-18. We expect individual cutoff of English to be in the range 10-13

General Awareness:

This section will decide the fortune of many candidates. General Awareness in the 1st week was focused on questions related to banking. Even marketing and computer questions were focused on day to day banking usage and terminologies.  But in the 2nd week there was a slight drift from Banking GK to generalized Gk. The average attempts in this section was around 20-22. We expect the individual cutoff in GK to be between 12-15.

Computer Awareness:

This has always been a scoring section for engineers and people with good computer knowledge. In computer awareness people could have easily attempted 12-14 questions though we expect the cutoff to lie between 9-11.

Exam Cutoff:

Keeping in mind the number of vacancies available for unreserved category, we assume the final cutoff’s as given below.

[wysija_form id=”1″]

Expected Final Objective Cutoff: (Gen)(out of 200)

Section Cutoff
Quant and Data Interpretation 13-16
Reasoning 17-20
English 10-13
General Awareness and computers 12-15
Computer Awareness 9-11
Final Objective Cutoff 105-110

For OBC cutoff’s can lie between 100-105, SC & ST will be around 85 and 70 respectively

All these Calculations have been done keeping in view that there are over 10000 vacancies (estimated)

Suggest Us if you feel the cutoff will be different from what we have expected.
