• Kushan period coins discovered in Baghpat. The copper-bronge Auge (2000-1800 AD) were found in a small pot. Bhagpat has a rich history of ancient civilization dating back to the harappan era.

International:

• New Maldives president Ibrahim Solih’s swearing ceremony was held at Male. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was only Head of State to attend the swearing in ceremony.
• India seeks to buy anti-submarine choppers ‘MH-60 Romeo’  from US for $2 billion.

Business:

• UIDAI CEO Ajay Bhushan Pandey will be the new revenue secretary. He will succeed Hasmukh Adhia. Adhia who will retire at the end of this month, is also the finance secretary.

Science:

• Scientists in China have created an Artificial Sun and it is way hotter than the actual Sun. The creation was made on a simulator in which nuclear fission was carried out.
