  -The Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship entered into an MoU aimed at improving women livelihood and empowering them through skill development.

  1. Hardeep S Puri launches e-Dharti App.

  –Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri has launched e-Dharti app where all the three modules- Conversion, Substitution and Mutation related to properties have been made online. The payment system in Land and Development Office, L&DO has also been completely digitized.

  1. Janaushadhi Diwas is being celebrated across the country.

  – Janaushadhi Diwas is being celebrated across the country on 07th March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address five thousand Janaushadhi stores across the country through video-conferencing on the occasion.

  1. UK CM Rawat lays foundation stone for Doon-Mussoorie ropeway project.

  –Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has laid the foundation stone for the Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway project which is considered to be a tourist novelty. The Rs 300-crore ropeway project is expected to be completed in three years.

  1. India signs the loan agreement with World Bank Uttarakhand Disaster Recovery Project.

  – India has signed a loan agreement with the World Bank for 96 Million US dollars for additional financing of Uttarakhand Disaster Recovery Project.

  1. Government announces new Rs 20 coin.

  –The Centre has announced a new Rs 20 coin which will come in 12-edged polygon (dodecagon) shape. The government is also planning to release new coins of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5 and Rs 10. However, the govt has not announced the exact date for the issuance of these new series coins.

  1. Ausaf Sayeed appointed new Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia.

  -Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, presently High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Seychelles, has been appointed as the next ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia.

  1. UNDP appoints Padma Lakshmi as Goodwill Ambassador.

  – Indian-American television personality and food expert Padma Lakshmi has been appointed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as its newest Goodwill Ambassador, supporting the agency’s fight against inequality and discrimination around the world.

  1. Kummanam Rajasekharan Resigns as Mizoram Governor.

  -Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan has stepped down from his post. Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, has been given temporary charge of the Aizawl Raj Bhavan.
