IBPS CWE Clerk Exam 2016 – Doubt Clarification

As IBPS CWE VI Clerk notification’s out, we constantly received queries from our aspirants asking questions as they are facing some problems and have doubt in their mind. Many of you have applied & will apply for the Clerical cadre post in Public Sector Banks. As,It is expected that you will have some doubts and queries regarding the IBPS Clerk VI recruitment process. So, in this article, we will try our best to clear all those doubts & queries.




Tentative dates for Exams:

  • The Tentative dates for Preliminary Exams are expected to be on 26 & 27.11.2016,
    03.12.2016 & 04.12.2016 (if required)
  • The Tentative dates for Mains Exam are expected to be on 31.12.2016 & 01.01.2017.
  • Tentative Date for declaration of Results for Preliminary is expected to be announced in December 2016
  • Final results will be declared on April 2017

Age-related queries:

Many candidates have queries regarding their age eligibility for Clerk VI recruitment process. As per the notification – The minimum age limit is 20 yrs and maximum age limit is 28 years old. It is clearly mentioned in the notification i.e. – A candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 August, 1988 and not later than 1 August, 1996 (both dates inclusive).

Educational qualification:

Graduation in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. No minimum percentage required for this recruitment. 

Note: If you are pursuing and in a final year then you are not eligible for this recruitment process.

Application Fee:

  • Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • Rs. 600 /- for all others

Fee will be paid by only online mode.No other mode will be accepted.

Calculation of Percentage:

The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.




Structure of the exam:

IBPS has introduced some changes in the Mains exam. This will be the first time when the section will be locked for that particular time and students will have to wait before he/she proceeds.The tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

The exam will be held in 2 stages i.e. preliminary examination and mains examination.

Paper Pattern of IBPS Clerical VI

 

Computer Certificate related queries:

It is mandatory to have computer knowledge for IBPS Clerk VI recruitment process. As it is clearly mentioned in the notification i.e. candidate should have studied Computer as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute or should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language.

Note:

(i) If you have studied Computer as one of the subjects during High School, College then you are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

(ii) If you have done Diploma in Computer operations or in Language  then you are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Note:  If you have not studied Computer as one of the subjects during High School, College, Institute and also do not have Diploma or Certificate in Computer operations or language then you are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.



Criterion for negative marking:

There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.

Language Proficiency Test Query:

Since this recruitment is being conducted state wise. So a candidate must have the knowledge of the Local /Official language (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the state.

The Local/Official Language will be tested during joining time. But those candidates, who have studied the Local/Official Language in the 10th standard, are exempted from language test which means they are not required to appear for the language test.

For E.g. If Neha and Amit are applying for Haryana State, then both of them must have knowledge of Haryana’s Official language i.e. Hindi language.

Now Neha has studied Hindi as a language in the 10th standard in the school while Amit has not studied in the school. So here Neha will not appear for the Language test, but Amit will have to appear for the test.

Note: The test of the Official /Local Language is a part of the Selection Process. Thus if a candidate fails in this test, then his/her result will be affected.

Exam Centre – State Related Query: 

A candidate has to apply for the post from a particular state as given in the notification. So, you have to choose the exam centre in any one of the centres in that particular State/UT.

Note: At the time of filling the Application form, you cannot opt for Exam Centre in other states. You will be allotted exam centre of your choice in that particular State/UT only.

For e.g. – If Meghna is willing to apply from Uttar Pradesh state then exam centre will be allotted in any of the centres in Uttar Pradesh state only.

Cut-off related query:

There is no fixed cutoff for IBPS CWE Clerk-VI. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process.

Note:

i) No interview process in IBPS Clerk VI recruitment process.

ii) There is no Descriptive test in phase II of the Exam.

iii) There is a time limit for each section in the phase II (Mains) Exam. And in that allotted time you have to complete that particular section. Also, you cannot randomly change in between the sections unless the time is over.

iii) The Financial Awareness section in the Mains Exam consists of topics like Current Affairs, Banking Knowledge, Economy related to Finance.

iv) The cutoff is applied at two stages i.e. Sectional & Overall Cutoff and will be calculated state-wise, i.e. different cutoff for different states.
