  • Doctor’s at Sir Gangaram Hospital removed a kidney weighing 7.4 Kg. It has been claimed to be the world’s largest kidney and doctor’s have applied for Guinness World records.

  • 65th Film Festival awards will be hosted by the city of Guwahati Assam. Assam Government has joined hands with Times of India to host it.
  • India will come up with India’s biggest uranium mine in Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh where 6000 K.g. of Uranium will be produced daily.

  • Rajya Sabha marshals were back in Indian Attire but without a pagri after row over new uniform.  The marshals were seen in military-style outfits with caps in place of traditional Indian attire comprising turbans when the Rajya Sabha’s landmark 250th session opened.
  • Telangana transport employees call off agitation after 52 days. The TSRTC employee unions’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) leader, Aswathama Reddy, said the decision to end the strike was taken to halt alleged attempts to ‘privatise’ the corporation.
